Master - Admission

For legal reasons, we cannot disclose any unofficial information about the equivalence of previously completed degree programmes before you have submitted your application to the Admission Office.  The directorate of studies can only process applications that were submitted officially to the Admission Office.

You can only register for courses with continuous assessment if you have an official notice of admission to a degree programme at the University of Vienna. If you are not yet registered in the registration system when the course begins, you will not be allowed to attend the course or sit examinations.  There will be no exceptions to this rule.

Administrative procedure - Students of the Faculty

If you have completed a bachelor’s programme at the Faculty of Business, Economics and Statistics of the University of Vienna, you will be admitted to a master’s programme in the relevant discipline at the Faculty of Business, Economics and Statistics of the University of Vienna without any additional requirements.

Simply submit your documents at the counter of the Admission Office and you will be admitted. For further information about admission to a (consecutive) master’s programme in the same subject, please refer to the website of Teaching Affairs and Student Services.

Administrative procedure - Students from other faculties

The Admission Office will, in some cases, have to review the admission requirements for students who do not study at the Faculty of Business, Economics and Statistics of the University of Vienna and have completed a bachelor’s programme at another faculty or higher education institution.
