Class of Excellence

What is the Class of Excellence?

The Class of Excellence is our faculty’s programme to promote the best and most promising students on the basis of their excellent performance. The objective of the CoE is the establishment of a group of dedicated and successful members who strongly identify with the faculty and who set a good example for the students to come. With the Class of Excellence we offer our students a great programme that allows them to prepare for their future professional life and provides them with special insight into different fields of business and economy.

Selection of Members

We select the candidates on the basis of their average grades in the first year of their Bachelor studies, provided they have successfully completed the introductory and orientation period (STEOP). After their nomination students may participate if they fulfil with the required responsibilities that come with the membership of the Class of Excellence.

Members of the Class of Excellence are offered a generous programme that includes excursions to renowned national and international companies as well as workshops preparing the participants for professional life. The students have the chance to meet influential people, visit selected companies and are able to focus on their interests for personal and academic development.

After one year of successful participation in the Class of Excellence, students receive a certificate that will be awarded personally by the dean of the Faculty of Business, Economics and Statistics. Additionally, students receive 2 ECTS points that will be recognised for their studies.

The members of the Class of Excellence are obliged to participate in five events that will be organised by our faculty and to write at least one report for our homepage. We expect students to be interested and engaged in the programme, knowing that they represent our faculty.
