Peter J. Buckley OBE FBA
The Faculty of Business and Economics is pleased to announce that Professor Peter Buckley will visit the Chair of International Business, Department of Marketing and International Business in December 2025.
Peter J. Buckley holds the 200th Anniversary Chair in International Business at Alliance Manchester Business School, University of Manchester. He also serves as a Visiting Professor at Hong Kong Metropolitan University and the University of Queensland Business School.
He was President of the Academy of International Business (2002-04) and Chair of the European International Business Academy (2009-2012). In 2014, he was elected a Fellow of the Academy of International Business.
Peter Buckley Professor Buckley has received numerous honors for his contributions to international business research including the British Academy of Management Medal for Research and the JIBS Platinum Medal for Scholarship recognizing him as the most frequent contributor to the Journal of International Business Studies over its first 50 years.
In 2012 he was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 2012, and in 2014, he was elected a Fellow of the British Academy (FBA).
