Bachelor - Individual Emphasis

The fulfilment of the elective module (individual emphasis) is regulated differently in the various Bachelor's degree programmes:

Bachelor (International) Business Administration

The individual emphasis comprises 30 ECTS credits in total. It provides students of the bachelor's programmes in Business Administration and International Business Administration with the opportunity to personalise their studies according to their individual interests. This way, their studies will correspond with their career ambitions.

Please note that it is the responsibility of each individual student to comply with the regulations regarding the elective module. It is also the student's responsibility to verify that all required examinations have been completed. The StudiesServiceCenter can only check for completeness of the completed examinations after all examinations have been completed and the written thesis has been submitted.

You have the opportunity to spend a semester abroad (Erasmus, etc.) where you complete free elective subjects comprising between 15 ECTS credits (minimum) and 30 ECTS credits (maximum). Once you have obtained 30 ECTS credits, you have completed the entire module.

If you obtain 15 ECTS credits abroad, you may also complete a small extension curriculum comprising 15 ECTS credits to obtain 30 ECTS credits in total.

International Internship

An internship abroad is recognized for the module to the extent of 15 ECTS = 375 working hours.

An internship abroad must be completed to the extent of 15 ECTS. The remaining 15 ECTS have to be filled up by an extension curriculum or by 15 ECTS from a study abroad.

Alternative extension

This can be freely chosen to the extent of a maximum of 15 ECTS. However, courses may not be a repetition of a content. Please note that the alternative extension should be an extension, and use this opportunity to shape your studies individually. The 15 ECTS of the alternative extension can only be combined with an extension curriculum with 15 ECTS without exception.
