Ausgewählte Publikationen bis zum Jahr 2010:
Die Grundlage für die Auswahl der hier präsentierten Publikationen bildete auf dem Gebiet der Betriebswirtschaft bis ins Jahr 2010 das JOURQUAL2-Ranking des VHB - Verbandes der Hochschullehrer für Betriebswirtschaft. Es handelt sich hierbei um ein Ranking von betriebswirtschaftlich relevanten Zeitschriften auf Basis von Urteilen der VHB-Mitglieder.
Im Bereich Volkswirtschaft lag der Auswahl das Handelsblatt-Ranking der Zeitschriften für VWL (Journalliste 2010) zugrunde. Dieses folgt anderen bestehenden Rankings wie Combes/Linnemer (neueste Version: Article von Combes und Linnemer 2010), der Tinbergen-Liste (aktuelle Journal List) und dem Internal Journal Ranking des IfW - Instituts für Weltwirtschaft an der Universität Kiel.
Ausgewählte Publikationen im Jahr 2010:
Mit dem Jahr 2010 wurden nun zusätzlich zum JOURQUAL2-Ranking (das inzwischen bereits überarbeitet ist) und dem Handelsblatt-Ranking (Journalliste 2010) auch die Bewertung der Journals aufgrund ihrer impact-Faktoren entsprechend dem ISI Web of Knowledge, Journal Citation Reports (Thomson Reuters), und der darauf folgenden Einteilung in 4 Quartile (je nach subject category) herangezogen, zur Verfügung gestellt von der RAD (Research Activities Documentation)-Redaktion. Anhand dieser Quartilszuordnung sind die Top-25% der Zeitschriften herausgefiltert und als "Q1" (Quartil 1) ersichtlich.
Beiträge, die in diesen ausgewählten Journals bis Ende des Jahres 2010 veröffentlicht wurden, sind (nach Instituten geordnet) für das Jahr 2010 angeführt.
Ausgewählte Publikationen im Jahr 2011:
Das Jahr 2011 hat weitere Neuerungen gebracht, weshalb die Liste der Top-Journals erweitert wurde. Artikel unserer Fakultätsangehörigen, die nach 2010 veröffentlicht wurden, werden dann als Top-Publikationen auf unserer Website präsentiert, wenn die Publikationsmedien folgenden Kriterien entsprechen:
- Das Journal, in dem veröffentlicht wurde, ist in der VHB JOURQUAL2.1 Liste mit "A" oder "A+" (thematischer Bereich: Betriebswirtschaftslehre) bewertet.
- Das Journal, in dem veröffentlicht wurde, ist in der Zeitschriftenliste des Handelsblatts für die Volkswirtschaftslehre 2011 mit "A" bzw. "0,6" oder "A+" bzw. "1" bewertet.
- Das Journal, in dem veröffentlicht wurde, ist in der Liste der Australian Mathematical Society mit "A" oder "A*" bewertet.
- Das Journal, in dem veröffentlicht wurde, ist in der Liste von Thomson Reuters, aufbereitet und zur Verfügung gestellt von der RAD-Redaktion, die auf den impact factors basiert, in mindestens einer subject category dem ersten Quartil (also den Top-25%) zugeordnet (siehe: Liste der Top-Journals, die hinsichtlich der Quartils-Bewertung nur die Journals enthält, in denen WIWI-Fakultätsmitglieder tatsächlich publiziert haben).
Ausgewählte Publikationen im Jahr 2012:
Neuerlich wurde die Liste der Spitzen-Journale erweitert, diesmal um den finanzwirtschaftlichen Aspekt. So wurden jene Zeitschriften der Liste des Faculty Evaluation Committee (FEC) der Tilburg University, Niederlande, hinzugefügt, die als "Top Journals" oder als "Very good Journals" bezeichnet werden und in eine der Kategorien "Econometrics", "Finance" oder "Macro/Microeconomics" fallen. Online abzurufen sind die Top Journals auf der Seite des Forschungsinstituts CentER der Tilburg University.
Die für 2011 angeführten Kriterien zur Präsentation besonders herausragender Publikationen unserer Fakultätsangehörigen gelten weiterhin. Sämtliche Erhebungen beruhen auf jenen Einträgen, die im System (i3v, Research Activities Documentation RAD) abrufbar sind sowie mit den Listen der Top-Zeitschriften verglichen und auf impact factors geprüft werden, die im Sommer 2010 für die jeweiligen Zeitschriften von Thomson Reuters herausgegeben wurden.

Die Zeitschriftenliste für die Auswahl unserer Publikationserfolge wurde aktualisiert, da im Winter 2010 fixe impact factors von Thomson Reuters herausgegeben wurden. Nun ist die Liste sowohl um jene Fachjournale erweitert, deren impact factor gestiegen ist als auch jene, die das erste Mal Artikel unserer Fakultätsangehörigen publiziert haben.
